Today, Mike, Ronan, and I went up to Sausalito to walk around and pretend to be tourists. It was an extremely windy and chilly day despite lots of sun and clear, blue skies.
Unfortunately, I forgot to charge my camera’s battery, and it died before I could get any shots of ourselves.
Also, I really didn’t capture just how cramped town felt, with locals and out-of-towners alike staking out on every possible inch of grass in order to reserve their view of the fireworks display. Some even pitched camping tents.
We grabbed delicious pulled pork sandwiches from a food truck before heading home.
Ronan is still a bit too young and sensitive to appreciate the joys of fireworks, and all shows begin long after his bed time anyway. I can’t wait until he’s a little older, because fireworks are what make the 4th my favorite holiday of the year. 🙂
Side note: I recently got a cheap B&W polarizer for one of my lenses, and the difference it makes is borderline absurd (in a good way). You can see which shots I used it on because the sky is a brilliant blue as opposed to a washed out gray.
